Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)
In the search of excellence in higher educational institutions, UGC in XIth plan made a policy decision that all the higher educational institutions should establish Internal Quality Assessment Cell to support the flow of quality impetus.
The prime aim of IQAC is to plan, guide and maintain Quality Assurance as well as Quality Enhancement of the institution. This cell ensures quality related themes in different seminars and educational activities of the college. IQAC helps in documentation of different programs and activities which leads to quality improvement and maintenance. IQAC is a system created to ensure timely, progressive and methodical performance of academic and administrative tasks. It also creates integration of different and novel methods of teaching and learning to create support in qualitative functioning of the institution.
In accordance with the guidelines issued by UGC and NAAC, the college established its IQAC cell on 08-September, 2014.
1. To create a setup of systematic and consistent improvement in the overall performance of institution.
2. To direct all efforts and potential of the institution for promoting its holistic academic excellence.Main Functions:
1. The IQAC works for setting standards of academic excellence.
2. It motivates teachers to switch-over to a work culture of ICT based Teaching-Learning Process.3. It conducts Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) to enrich Human Resource.
4. It sets quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.5. It documents various programs/activities of the college which leads to quality improvement.
6. It is an established nodal agency of the institution for quality-related activities.7. It prepares the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to submit to NAAC based on the quality parameters
8. Ensures adequacy, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services.
Accreditation by NAAC: The College was first accredited with NAAC in the year 2003 with B Grade. After that, in order to start this process of accreditation, IQAC was established in 2014 and since then the process of accreditation is being lead by this Cell.
Future Ventures:The Cell targets to work preemptively from the current session by reorganizing various academic and administrative activities in accordance with ICT.
